a training program for the integration and economic independence of women in difficulty
Turin, 11 December – A new training project on care work is born today, the result of the synergy between the association Anemon Aiutare nel Mondo ODV and Nuova Collaborazione (National Association of Domestic Employers). The project, entitled FORMAZIONE DONNA (WOMEN’S TRAINING), is designed to promote the social and occupational integration of women, with a particular focus on foreign women, particularly recently migrant mothers. Responding to the growing need for economic independence, FORMAZIONE DONNA aims to offer new professional opportunities in the care sector through specific training programs.
Integration through training is a fundamental step towards building a more inclusive society. With this initiative, Anemon ODV and Nuova Collaborazione are making a concrete contribution to improving the independence and well-being of women in our region. The project supports the development of professional skills in high-demand areas, such as household management, babysitting, and eldercare, which facilitate access to the labor market.
Registration is officially open from December 15, 2024. The course is free and will accommodate approximately 25 participants, with lessons three times a week, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, starting March 4, 2025. To participate, you must meet the following requirements: knowledge of the Italian language and valid documents (ID card, residence permit, and tax code).
Anemon Aiutare nel Mondo ODV As the creator and coordinator of the project, he identified Nuova Collaborazione (National Association of Domestic Employers) as the ideal partner for the creation of certified professional training courses for housekeepers, carers and babysitters capable of offering concrete employment opportunities. Gabriella Guglielmo, President of Anemon ODV, states that “FORMAZIONE DONNA continues the path that has seen our Association engaged for twenty years in projects aimed at women in difficulty in Italy and around the world. This commitment to volunteering and solidarity, with zero management costs, is aimed at the professional training of women with the goal of independent entry into the workforce. For the pursuit of these goals, we thank Nuova Collaborazione for its training expertise and its indispensable contribution to the development of the project, and the Franciscan Sisters of Susa for their great spiritual and practical availability. The great commitment and synergy of these three organizations will offer the opportunity to many women in difficulty to seize job opportunities and have a better future in Turin.”
Course objective:
“We are proud to launch the FORMAZIONE DONNA project, which for us represents a concrete response to the challenges that women, especially those of recent migration, face in our country – declared Maurizia Savia, advisor and training consultant for Nuova Collaborazione. Training, in addition to providing professional skills, is an opportunity to promote social and professional integration, facilitating access to a sector like care work, which has great growth potential. Thanks to our collaboration with Anemon, we will be able to offer approximately 25 women the opportunity to acquire a qualification that will open up new professional opportunities and contribute to their economic independence. This project is part of a process of inclusion and concrete support, which not only meets the needs of the labor market but also those of a more equal society.
The training path:
The course will start on March 4, 2025 in Turin, at the headquarters of the Order of the Franciscan Sisters of Susa, on Via Luisa del Carretto. The Order, which has made its facilities available and actively contributed to the project, allows us to operate in a neighborhood characterized by a significant presence of families with children and elderly people, where the skills acquired will be particularly in demand. The course aims to facilitate concrete entry into the workforce through a high-quality training program designed to meet the specific needs of the area.
The training program will be divided into two phases:
Basic Course (40 hours): Theoretical and practical lessons on home management and first aid.
Specialization Courses (24 hours): aimed at specific sectors in high demand, including babysitting and elderly care.
