Received by the Sanhamou Handicap Association and translated from French
The administrative year ran from September 15 to September 30, 2024.
During this period, we held refresher courses on sign language for teachers.
The school year began on October 1, 2024, with a staff of six teachers for six classes. Two weeks later, we received a new state teacher to support us.
Unfortunately, despite everything, the school faced enormous challenges:
a) In March 2025, we recorded the death of teacher BANNABE Mintré;
b) Then, at the end of May 2025, the announcement of the resignation of a state teacher named TABOUDOU Adama for the following school year.
The school’s academic results are as follows:
- CP1: 9 students, including 7 boys and 2 girls, with a 100% success rate
- CP2: 8 students, including 00 boys and 08 girls, with a 100% success rate
- CE1: 4 boys and 2 girls, for a total of 6 students. The class’s success rate is 66.66%.
- CE2: A total of 17 students, including 09 boys and 08 girls, with a success rate of 76.47%
- CM1: 7 students, including 4 boys and 3 girls, with a 100% success rate
- CM2: The class consists of 14 students, including 03 boys and 11 girls, with a success rate of 92.85% with independent candidates and 100% without independent candidates.
Higher Education: Eloges Kaboré attended the second year of university, majoring in Civil Engineering.
Secondary school: 5 students:
- Balma Antoine 2nd year High School (5th) Electromechanics
- Ouoba Romaric 1st year Lycée (6ême) General Teaching and Probes Sidokou 1st year Automotive Mechanics
- Thiobiano L. Mohamed obtained the Brevet Etudes Professionnelles (BEP) this year.
- Toguyeni Y. Léonce obtained the Baccalauréat Professionale (BEP2) this year.
Professional training
The facility covered the annual training costs of 9 young people, 2 of whom completed their training this year, in addition to the 8 young people who completed it in previous years and are waiting for the equipment for their laboratory.
Artisan workshops. During this year, with the financial support of Anemon ODV, the Sanhamou Handicap Association was able to set up five artisan workshops for 5 young people who completed training in various activities in previous years, we hope to be able to open, in the near future, the other 10 workshops for the 10 young people who have completed the training.
CONCLUSION
This school year, thanks to our partners, we were able to successfully complete our activities despite the difficulties we encountered.
For the next school year, due to the death of BANNABE Mintré and the possible departure of Mr. Taboudou, teaching vacancies will arise. Even if the coordination team were able to recruit two or three teachers to address this challenge, this would increase the school’s budget, and it is unclear whether the current support from our partners will be sufficient. A discussion will be held to assess how to address these challenges.
